Order Updates, Reminders & OTPs on WhatsApp
Send confirmations, shipping updates, payment reminders, and one-time passwords on the app your customers actually check. Connect your store, CRM, or booking system once, and every important update goes out automatically.
Important Updates Customers Actually See
SMS gets lost among spam and email updates sit unread. WhatsApp notifications show your business name, can include images, documents, and buttons, and let customers reply if they have a question.
Fewer "where is my order?" calls, fewer missed appointments, and faster payments — because your customers saw the message.
Hi Rahul, your order #FB-2291 for ₹1,240 is confirmed. Invoice attached.
Your order #FB-2291 will arrive today between 5–7 PM.
Track OrderNotifications for Every Step of the Customer Journey
Three Ways to Send Automatic Notifications
Your store, CRM, or booking system decides when to send. Wabiss delivers the WhatsApp message the moment it's asked.
REST API — for developers
Your system calls POST /api/v1/send/template (or /send/text, /send/document, and more) with the customer's number and message details. You get a message ID back and can check its delivery status at any time.
POST /api/v1/send/template { "to": "919876543210", "templateName": "order_shipped", "templateParams": ["Rahul", "FB-2291", "5–7 PM"] }
Webhook-triggered flows — little or no code
Every flow can start from an Incoming Webhook trigger with its own URL. Your system (or a tool like Zapier, Make, or n8n) sends the order details to that URL, including the customer's number. The flow then sends the message — and can do more, like attach a PDF, log the order to Google Sheets, or wait for the customer's reply.
{ "phone": "919876543210", "orderId": "FB-2291" }. The flow sends "Hi! Your order {{incomingPayload.orderId}} is confirmed" and attaches the invoice.Bulk template sends — for batches
Need to notify many customers at once, each with their own details? Send one /send/template-bulk request with a list of recipients and their personal values — for example, today's payment reminders exported from your billing system. You can also do this from the dashboard by choosing a contact group.
Choosing the Right Setup for Alerts
Use the right Meta template category
- Utility: order confirmations, shipping updates, payment reminders, appointment confirmations, and account alerts.
- Authentication: one-time passwords and verification codes.
- Marketing: offers and promotions — keep these separate from your transactional alerts.
Create templates in the Wabiss template builder with variables like {{1}} for the customer's name and {{2}} for the order number, submit them to Meta, and they're ready once approved.
Meta Cloud API is recommended for alerts
Time-sensitive messages like OTPs and delivery updates should arrive instantly. The official Meta Cloud API is built for this: fast, reliable, and with delivery and read updates forwarded to your system.
Web QR numbers can send notifications too, which works well for low volumes. Because Web QR includes safety pacing to protect your number, messages may go out with short delays when many are sent together.
Track every notification
Check any message's status through the API using its ID, or open Delivery Reports and the Usage Report in the dashboard. On Meta numbers, delivery and read events can also be forwarded to your own webhook URL.
Notification Questions, Answered
Yes — through the REST API or a webhook-triggered flow. Many platforms can send webhooks on events like "order created". You can also use automation tools such as Zapier, Make, or n8n to connect them to Wabiss without writing code.
On Meta Cloud API numbers, yes — when you message a customer first, Meta requires an approved template (usually Utility or Authentication). On Web QR numbers, you can send plain messages without templates.
Yes. Replies arrive in Live Chat, and you can set up auto-replies or a chatbot to handle common follow-up questions like "Can I change my delivery time?".
Wabiss sends as soon as it receives a request. For scheduled reminders, have your booking or billing system — or a tool like Zapier — trigger the send at the right time.
On Meta numbers, Meta's official per-message rate for the template category and country applies. On Web QR numbers, messages use your plan or wallet balance. See Pricing.
